Crespo keeps Chelsea riding high

Hernan Crespo was recalled to Chelsea’s starting line-up and responded with the opener in a 2-0 win at The Valley to end Charlton’s winning start to the Barclays Premiership season.

Crespo, the 30-year-old Argentina striker, had already struck the post in the first half before he guided a superb header home from Michael Essien’s cross 10 minutes after the interval.
