Alex Ferguson has predicted Wayne Rooney will bounce back from his Champions League shame with a performance to remember for all the right reasons at Anfield on Sunday.

Last January, Rooney shrugged off the predictable taunts from Liverpool fans who have despised him since his Everton days by netting the only goal right in front of the Kop.
