Cork City winger player of the month

Cork City winger Liam Kearney has been selected as the eircom/Soccer Writers Association of Ireland Player of the Month for August.

The Republic of Ireland Under 21 star was instrumental in the Leesiders' UEFA Cup victory over Djurgarden as well as keeping the club on top of the table as Cork drew 1-1 with Waterford United, beat Shelbourne 1-0 and lost 3-1 in Derry City.
