Fresh options for Jewell
Wigan manager Paul Jewell may be struggling to sign a new striker, but he at least has fresh options open to him for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash against Sunderland at the JJB Stadium.
Australia international Josip Skoko has finally received a work permit after his recent move from Genclerbirligi, while fellow midfielder Graham Kavanagh is also available after a four-week lay-off with a heel injury.
Lee McCulloch has finally shaken off a knee ligament problem sustained in pre-season, while Gary Teale should be fit despite picking up a foot injury at Charlton. Jewell, though, remains without Henri Camara [hamstring], Emerson Thome [thigh] and John Filan [hernia].
