Duff hoping for something special

Damien Duff believes the Republic of Ireland require “a special performance” if they are to beat France next month and take a giant stride towards World Cup qualification.

Chelsea winger Duff was dismayed at the way Ireland were comfortably outplayed by Italy in the opening half-hour at Lansdowne Road last night, ultimately losing 2-1.
