Sevilla seal Kanoute swoop

Tottenham have sold striker Fredi Kanoute to Sevilla for £4.4m (€6.5m).

The 27-year-old Mali international has agreed a four-year deal with the Primera Liga club, who recently sold star striker Julio Baptista to Real Madrid.

Kanoute becomes Sevilla’s second major arrival in less than a week following the loan signing of Barcelona forward Javier Saviola.

Kanoute scored 14 goals in 59 appearances for Tottenham and will be officially unveiled tomorrow.
