Jenas yellow stays: FA

Football Association chiefs were today insisting the decision to downgrade Jermaine Jenas’ red card at Arsenal on Sunday will stand despite the launch of a review of their disciplinary procedures.

The FA were looking at their general policy on referees’ re-thinks and the appeals process after being contacted by FIFA in the wake of Steve Bennett’s decision to reduce the Newcastle midfielder's punishment for a challenge on Gilberto to a caution.
