Wenger: Cole can be Gunners captain

Arsene Wenger still believes Ashley Cole will captain Arsenal in the future after admitting the club had finally realised the defender’s true worth.

Cole’s contract dispute with Arsenal, in which he accused the club of reneging on an initial offer to increase his pay to £60,000 (€87,564) a week, led indirectly to his infamous meeting with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
