Camara set for Latics debut

Henri Camara and Jason Roberts look set to lead Wigan’s attack in Sunday’s fairytale Premiership opener with Chelsea on Sunday.

With last season’s top scorer Nathan Ellington set to sign for West Brom, manager Paul Jewell appears certain to draft £3m (€4.4m) record signing Camara in for his debut.

Veteran defender Arjan de Zeeuw and fellow new arrivals Pascal Chimbonda, Damien Francis, Stephane Henchoz and Ryan Taylor are also in contention, while former Rotherham keeper Mike Pollitt will play as first-choice John Filan misses the Latics’ top flight bow with a hernia.
