Nakata in talks with Bolton

Fiorentina’s Japanese international Hidetoshi Nakata looks to be on the verge of a move to Bolton.

Nakata, the 28-year-old midfielder, has played in Italy with a host of teams since moving to Serie A from Japanese side Bellmare Hiratsuka ahead of the 1998-99 campaign.

A statement on the Fiorentina website www.acffiorentina.it said: “Fiorentina announce they are in talks with English club Bolton Wanderers for the transfer of player Hidetoshi Nakata.

“The player is in London to discuss the financial side of his contract.”
