Gilberto hints at new contract talks

Gilberto Silva has vowed to give Arsenal some much-needed midfield security in the wake of Patrick Vieira’s departure by indicating his desire to sign a new contract.

The 28-year-old’s current deal runs out at the end of this season, with Arsenal at risk of losing him on a free transfer if they cannot negotiate new terms.
