Irate Manchester United fans have called on chief executive David Gill to run a poll on the club’s official website to prove his claim that only a “small minority” of Red Devils fans are against Malcolm Glazer’s £790m (€1.1bn) takeover.
Supporters’ group Shareholders United have been astonished by some of the claims Gill has made over Glazer’s buy-out in recent days.
