Ince to retire at season's end
Wolves’ former England midfielder Paul Ince has revealed he will retire at the end of the 2005/6 season.
Ince, who began his career at West Ham before moving on to Manchester United, Inter Milan, Liverpool and Middlesbrough, is entering his fourth year as a Wolves player.
He won 53 England caps before retiring after Kevin Keegan’s team were knocked out of Euro 2000, and was the first black England captain, leading the side against the USA in 1993.
“I’ll be 38 in October and it’ll be a good time to call it a day at the end of the season,” Ince told Sky Sports News.
“If the team go up then I’ll be too old to play in the Premiership. With my game and my role you can’t do that forever so I think this’ll be my last year.”
