Title contenders all lead at half-time

The second half of tonight's eircom League clashes are kicking off with all the leading teams in the ascendancy so far.

Eircom League leaders Cork City lead bottom club Shamrock Rovers 1-0 at Turner's Cross tonight.

Joe Gamble put City ahead after just five minutes against Roddy Collins' Hoops but George O'Callaghan has missed a penalty, hitting the crossbar after 29 minutes.

Meanwhile Owen Heary gave Shelbourne a 7th minute lead against Bray and Glen Crowe doubled the lead on 11 minutes.

Second place Derry City lead UCD 1-0 through Mark Farren.

Bohemians and St Pats are also leading.
