Pistone back at Everton

Everton have re-signed full-back Alessandro Pistone less than a month after he left Goodison Park.

The Italian had looked set to move to Serie A outfit Lecce after failing to agree a renewal to his contract, which expired at the end of June.

But after struggling to bring in all the players boss David Moyes had targeted, Everton have brought the 29-year-old back to bolster their squad for their debut Champions League campaign, with Pistone signing a two-year contract.
