Spurs linked with Baptista

Tottenham appear to have entered the race to sign Julio Baptista after Sevilla today claimed they have received a bid of more than £13.8m (€20m) for the forward.

Baptista, the 23-year-old Brazil international, has been linked with a move to Arsenal but Sevilla revealed Spurs have tabled the most expensive bid for the player, who is under contract at the club until 2006.
