Charlton have signed England Under-21 midfielder Darren Ambrose from Newcastle on a four-year contract.

Charlton have signed England Under-21 midfielder Darren Ambrose from Newcastle on a four-year contract.

The 21-year-old joins the Addicks for an undisclosed fee after failing to hold down a first-team place at St James' Park following his £1m move from Ipswich in March 2003.
