Everton plan Turkey trip
Everton will visit Istanbul as part of the pre-season preparations after confirming a July 30 encounter with Fenerbahce.
The clash could see them come face-to-face with former Liverpool striker Nicolas Anelka, who joined the Turkish champions from Manchester City in January.
It forms part of a hectic summer programme for David Moyes’ men, who are building towards their Champions League qualifying tie on August 10.
After tackling Scottish Premier League outfit Motherwell at Fir Park on July 16, the Toffeemen head to Thailand, where it has been confirmed they will tackle the Thai national side on July 20 as part of the FA Premier League Asia Trophy.
A final or third-place match against either Bolton or Manchester City will follow on July 23, then the trip to urkey, with fellow Champions League qualifiers Udinese due to visit Goodison Park on August 3.
