Juve still working on Vieira deal
Juventus admit they still hope to convince Arsenal to sell French midfielder Patrick Vieira.
General director Luciano Moggi travelled to London earlier this week to undergo talks with the Gunners regarding the 29-year-oldās possible transfer to the Stadio Delle Alpi.
Vieira, who is under contract with the Premier League club until June 2007, came close to joining Real Madrid last summer but in the end he opted to remain in London.
āArsenal donāt want to sell him (Vieira),ā admitted Moggi to the Italian press.
However, reports in the Italian media suggest it is Arsenalās asking price of ā¬20m that is stopping Juve from acquiring the services of the experienced midfielder.
The Bianconeri are reportedly offering ā¬7m plus Ghanaian midfielder Stephen Appiah in the transfer package.
However, Moggi remains confident that a deal could be reached as he is set to meet Arsenal executives again.
āI havenāt said that he is too expensive,ā he added. āIn any case we will have to meet them again.ā
