Real to play benefit for Puskas

Real Madrid will play a friendly in Budapest on August 14 to raise money for their legendary striker Ferenc Puskas, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

The 78-year-old Hungarian was a member of Madrid’s golden team in the 1950s and 1960s, winning three European Cups, four league titles and finishing as the leading scorer in the Spanish top flight on four occasions between 1958 and 1967.

Madrid will face the Puskas All Stars, a team made up of Hungarian internationals, while former Real Madrid team-mates Alfredo Di Stefano and Paco Gento will be present at the Ferenc Puskas stadium in Budapest.
