Park talks set for this week - PSV
PSV Eindhoven chief Guus Hiddink expects the future of Manchester United target Ji-Sung Park to become clearer later this week after the player reportedly told the club he wants to move to Old Trafford.
The Eredivisie champions have warned United they will not allow the Korean to leave Holland cheaply, though, citing the playersâ marketing value in Asia.
PSV confirmed last week that United had made an enquiry about the South Korea international and the player himself admitted he was considering the move.
And according to Dutch newspaper AD Sportwereld, Park has reached a decision and told Hiddink he wishes to leave in a telephone call.
Hiddink, who also insisted it is possible Park âjust stays at PSVâ, said: âLater this week we will speak again with Parkâs agent. Then more will become clear.â
PSV chairman Rob Westerhof, however, made it clear the 24-year-old would not be allowed to leave on the cheap.
âPark immensely loved in his continent,â said Westerhof. âOnly because of his marketing worth Manchester United can earn a lot of money through him.
âIf it comes to a transfer, it must be that we see an offer from Manchester that is a reflection of that.â
