Fitness boost for Charlton
Charlton could be handed a fitness boost with the return of Shaun Bartlett and Jerome Thomas for Sunday’s final match of the season against relegation battlers Crystal Palace at The Valley.
South African striker Bartlett has been out since the start of April with a knee problem, while winger Thomas has been hampered by a virus.
However, both featured for the reserves on Thursday night, and may come back into first-team contention this weekend.
Defender Chris Perry is available again following a one-game ban, but Francis Jeffers faces a fitness test on the shoulder problem which ruled him out of the match with Chelsea, when Kevin Lisbie stepped in and play the lne striker role.
Stephan Andersen looks set to be handed another start in goal as Alan Curbishley seeks to give the young Danish ‘keeper some more experience in the first team.
