Injury woes for Rovers and Cork
Shamrock Rovers' main purpose from tonight’s clash against Cork City at Dalymount Park is to get a big crowd as they look to ease their financial difficulties.
But on the pitch, Roddy Collins’ side will be desperate to claim the points to ensure Premier Division football for next season.
Having claimed their first win of the season last week against Derry City, Collins is hoping to continue that momentum though Jason McGuinness (calf) and Pat McCourt (hip) – two key men last week – are extremely doubtful.
Cork City also have injury problems with goalkeeper Michael Devine (knee) and Denis Behan (knee) extremely doubtful. Colin O’Brien (back) and Billy Woods (thigh) should be okay to start.
