UEFA to get tough on clubs

Clubs could be deducted points or even kicked out of Europe in a throwback to Heysel under a new get-tough policy starting next season, UEFA announced today.

Stung by the recent high-profile cases involving Chelsea and Inter Milan, European football’s governing body are planning a disciplinary clampdown in an effort to protect officials and players and punish clubs who fail to control their fans.
