Late goal gives Longford the points

Danny O’Connor scored the winner against his home town club as Town came from behind to collect the three points.

O’Connor got his head to Alan Kirby’s cross to beat Chris O’Connor in the Bray goal with eight minutes left to play.

Town fell behind to a needlessly conceded corner on 12 minutes with Bray central defender Jody Lynch heading home Colm Tresson’s flag kick.

Town dominated the remainder of the match eventually the equalising on 53 minutes.

O’Connor’s ball to Andy Myler ran through to Dessie Baker who blasted to the roof of the net.

Myler then hit a post following a mistake by Tresson before O’Connor won it for Town.
