McCarthy in Dublin to scout Murphy

Sunderland manager Mick McCarthy was at Belfield last night to keep tabs on potential summer signing Daryl Murphy of Waterford United.

The Republic of Ireland Under 21 striker is being watched by a number of clubs in England and McCarthy decided to visit Dublin to watch the striker personally before deciding whether to make a bid for his services.
