Hoops to consider examinership proposal
Shamrock Rovers supporters will meet tonight to discuss proposals that could see the club go into examinership.
The club’s supporters trust, the 400 club, has called an extraordinary general meeting for tonight when they will outline plans for a financial rescue package of the club to members.
It is thought that the plan would involve the current club’s board applying to the High Court for an examinership – a costly procedure during which the examiner would exam all aspects of the company – with the 400 club and the current board taking over the day-to-day running of the club, including paying the players’ wages, in the meantime.
