Vignal to quit Gers
Rangers defender Gregory Vignal is resigned to leaving the club this summer after rejecting a contract offer.
The 23-year-old has been in impressive form since joining the club on loan from Liverpool.
But the Frenchman admits he is unlikely to stay at Ibrox despite manager Alex McLeish being keen to keep hold of the player.
Vignal told the Scottish Daily Express: “The Rangers boss wants to keep me and I would love to stay here but remaining at Rangers is not my priority anymore. Our meeting was a failure. We could not find an agreement.
“The officials proposed a contract and good wages, but they did not let me talk and they have missed their chance.
“I was waiting for Rangers’ proposition before contacting other clubs. Now my agent will start working next week. It seems that a big German club has their eye on me.”
