Glazer bid not strengthened by profit drop: Gill
Manchester United chief executive David Gill insisted the club are no more vulnerable to a takeover by Malcolm Glazer despite a drop in pre-tax profits by more than 50%.
The club today announced half-yearly profits of £12.4m (€17.9m) compared to £26.8m (€38.6m) the previous year as the company bore the brunt of falling media revenue, last season’s third-place Premiership finish and the cost of squad strengthening.
