Injury worries for Longford and Waterford

Longford Town will be hoping to start the league season with a victory after falling to defeat in the Setanta Cup curtain raiser against Glentoran when they face Waterford United this evening.

But they will be weakened by the absence of suspended trio Stephen Paisley, John Martin and Eric Lavine, and the injured Andy Myler and Alan Murphy.

Waterford have problems of their own with captain John Frost and striker Daryl Murphy almost certainly ruled out with knee and hamstring problems respectively.

Neil Andrews is also suspended while Sean Finn and Vinny Sullivan are both rated doubtful.
