FT: Dundee 0 Rangers 2

Rangers left it late at Dens Park but goals from Marvin Andrews and Fernando Ricksen made sure their championship challenge was not dented by Dundee.

Jim Duffy’s side had held out for 82 minutes but were sunk by two strikes in as many minutes.

Rangers are now four points and six goals ahead of Celtic, who have two games in hand. McManus was replaced by Scott Robertson in the 74th minute.

Andrews conceded a corner that saw Wilkie connect with a free header but a Rangers defender was in the way to block.

Soutar made a fine saw to catch a Prso header after Buffel had crossed from the left.

Soutar had to tip over a Buffel cross and another corner quickly followed and this time it was decisive as Andrews came charging in to head Ricksen’s delivery past Soutar to give his side an 82nd-minute lead.

Prso tested Soutar with a shot from just outside the box but from Rangers’ next attack Ricksen made sure with a second in the 84th minute.

The Dutchman slotted home coolly after Prso had laid the ball back into his path.

Andrews had to come off following a clash with Lovell, who was able to continue. Thompson replaced him with two minutes left on the clock.
