PSV Eindhoven marched into the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a 3-0 aggregate win over last year’s runners-up Monaco.

The Dutch side led 1-0 after the first leg and it took Guus Hiddink’s side less than half an hour to extend that advantage when Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink headed them in front on the night at the Stade Louis II.

In the second half American substitute DaMarcus Beasley ended the match as a contest when he scored from close range.

The hosts ended the match with 10 men as Monaco’s Gael Givet was then shown the red card for a wild tackle on Jefferson Farfan.
