Carlton Palmer has been formally confirmed as the Mansfield boss on a full-time basis and has revealed he has been working for free since joining the League Two club.

Palmer - who played briefly with Dublin City in the eircom League last season - was initially appointed in a caretaker capacity at Field Mill in late November following predecessor Keith Curle’s suspension and eventual sacking.
