Lengthy injury list for Benitez

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has to overcome another lengthy injury list before deciding on his side to play at Newcastle in the Barclays Premiership tomorrow.

Djimi Traore (thigh), Jerzy Dudek (shin), Harry Kewell (ankle) and Dietmar Hamann (shin) are all recovering from injuries picked up in the Carling Cup Final, while Neil Mellor (tendinitis) will be out for the season alongside Florent Sinama-Pongolle, Djibril Cisse, Xabi Alonso and Chris Kirkland.

Josemi, fighting his way back from a knee injury, has had his return held up for another fortnight after picking up another knee problem in a midweek reserve game.
