Ricksen signs new Rangers deal

Rangers midfielder Fernando Ricksen has signed a new four-year contract to keep him at the club until 2009.

The Dutchman’s current contract expires in the summer and he had been linked with a host of clubs, most notably Everton, who had a substantial offer rejected last month.

However, he has now ended the speculation by putting pen to paper on a new deal with the Ibrox club.
