Defoe could win his spurs with new deal

Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe could be rewarded with an improved contract in the next two weeks after his impressive run of form.

The 22-year-old, who is not one of the Premiership’s high earners, struck twice at the weekend against West Brom to send Spurs through to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
