Boumsong in Magpies squad

Newcastle boss Graeme Souness will take no risks with £8m (€11.6m) defender Jean-Alain Boumsong as he prepares to come back from a hamstring injury.

The Frenchman is in the squad for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash with Charlton just two weeks after picking up a strain at Arsenal, but may be left out to allow the problem to heal further.
