No decision taken on midweek FA Cup final

The Football Association insists it has not made a decision on whether to stage next season’s FA Cup final on a Wednesday – but is considering ‘several proposals’.

A newspaper report today claimed the showpiece would be played in midweek to give England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson more time to prepare his squad for the World Cup in Germany.
