Robert Pires has failed to win back his place in the France squad after being left out of the 20-man party for next Wednesday’s international friendly against Sweden at the Stade de France.

Robert Pires has failed to win back his place in the France squad after being left out of the 20-man party for next Wednesday’s international friendly against Sweden at the Stade de France.

The Arsenal midfielder was initially omitted for the clash with Poland in November after criticising coach Raymond Domenech, who took over as Les Bleus boss following Euro 2004.
