Dickov in fitness battle

Blackburn striker Paul Dickov is struggling to be fit for tomorrow’s Ewood Park clash with Barclays Premiership leaders Chelsea.

Dickov missed Saturday’s FA Cup win over Colchester with a groin problem and will undergo a late fitness test before boss Mark Hughes finalises his line-up.

The striker is the only major doubt for Hughes, who will pin his faith in his current crop of players after losing Barry Ferguson and Javier De Pedro during the transfer window.
