Argentina great Diego Maradona rates England star Wayne Rooney as his favourite current player.

The 44-year-old, regarded as one of the greatest players of all-time, believes the Manchester United striker is poised for greatness provided he avoids the off-field pitfalls the Argentinian himself encountered.
