Highbury keeper swap mooted

Arsenal have been linked with a potential goalkeeping swap, involving Jens Lehmann and Stuttgart's Timo Hildebrand, whose contract talks in Germany have just collapsed.

Lehmann has become frustrated at his demotion from the Arsenal first team, although he has vowed to fight for his place and is still hoping for a recall this weekend against Newcastle.

Stuttgart’s failure to reach agreement over a new deal with Germany’s number three Hildebrand, who is out of contract this summer, has nevertheless prompted rumours of a move for Lehmann either this month or at the end of the season.
