Villa accept reprimand over Beattie

Aston Villa had no complaints after being found guilty today of making an illegal approach for former Southampton striker James Beattie last summer.

The Premiership club were handed a reprimand, the lowest type of punishment at the disposal of the FA Premier League, at the end of a hearing which lasted almost six hours.
