Beattie on Cup duty for Everton

James Beattie is expected to make his Everton debut in the FA Cup third-round clash at Plymouth tomorrow.

A Football Association rule change this season has seen the end of the seven-day registration period, leaving Beattie free to play at Home Park.

Striker Duncan Ferguson is serving the final match of a three-game suspension for being sent off at Charlton last month, while midfielder Steve Watson could be out with a stomach upset.

Moyes rested Kevin Kilbane, David Weir, Marcus Bent and Alessandro Pistone for the midweek win over Portsmouth but is likely to recall them.
