Alex Ferguson has sent a warning shot across the bows of Premiership title rivals Chelsea and Arsenal by claiming “no-one is playing as well as us”.

Ferguson watched his Manchester United side record their eighth league win in nine outings this evening as Darren Fletcher and Ryan Giggs scored either side of the interval to secure a 2-0 win at Middlesbrough.
