Bosnich ponders Walsall offer

Australian goalkeeper Mark Bosnich is considering a comeback with Walsall.

Bosnich has been out for two years after being sacked by Chelsea and banned by the Football Association for nine months after failing a drug test.

But the 32-year-old may return to training with Paul Merson’s Coca-Cola League One side.

Merson has battled against addictions to drink and gambling and offered Bosnich a way back.

“Paul has spoken to my agent and said I can train with them,” Bosnich told The Sun. “It’s something I'm thinking about because I’m ready to return to the game.”

“Previously I did not want to play a game. But now I have got the hunger back.

“I have been clean for two months but I know you can always slip up. I have changed and need a focus to make sure I never slip up again. Football will give me that.”
