Celtic striker Henri Camara and Nacho Novo of Rangers have both been handed a one-match ban with immediate effect by the Scottish Football Association for their part in a brawl during the last Old Firm game.

The players were both found guilty of violent conduct by the SFA’s disciplinary committee today after television pictures showed Camara aiming a kick at on-loan Liverpool defender Gregory Vignal and Novo stamping on Stephen Pearson’s neck.

They were also given 12 penalty points, taking them through the disciplinary threshold, which means Camara misses a further game and Novo two further matches, both effective from December 28.
