Ljungberg back for Gunners
Fredrik Ljungberg is back in contention for Arsenal’s clash against title rivals Chelsea at Highbury this weekend.
Ljungberg missed the midweek Champions League victory against Rosenborg with an acute migraine but has since returned to training and will undergo a fitness test tomorrow.
Manager Arsene Wenger revealed: “Freddie was better today. He had a good session, although not with the rest of the team. We have another session tomorrow and then I will decide whether to include him or not. The signs look positive though.”
Wenger – who must decided between goalkeepers Jens Lehmann and Manuel Almunia - is still without Pascal Cygan, Edu and Gilberto Silva through injury, while Patrick Vieira is suspended but Lauren is back from a European ban and Ashley Cole is available despite a knee problem.
Arsenal (provisional): Lehmann, Almunia, Lauren, Hoyte, Cole, Clichy, Campbell, Toure, Senderos, Fabregas, Flamini, Pires, Reyes, Ljungberg, Pennant, Van Persie, Henry, Bergkamp.
