O'Leary: 'I'd like to rest McCann'

Aston Villa manager David O’Leary has admitted he is being forced to play knee injury victim Gavin McCann because of the shortage of players at his disposal.

Midfielder McCann has been suffering with the problem for several weeks and on Saturday had to limp out of the home Barclays Premiership clash with Liverpool during the second half.
