Gerrard amazes Jol

Martin Jol has added to the list of superlatives assigned to Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard for his contribution to the Reds’ last-gasp win against Arsenal.

The new Tottenham boss heaped praise on the England midfielder for his performance against the Gunners in the Barclays Premiership on Sunday, as he prepared for the two clubs’ Carling Cup quarter-final clash at White Hart Lane tonight.
